The practice of Reiki comes under Voluntary Self - Regulation, this means that there are no statutory or mandatory requirements to practice Reiki, however the Reiki Council*, the lead advisory body for Reiki practitioners in the UK, worked with Skills for Health** to provide National Occupational Standards for the practice of working with Reiki in a Professional setting.
CNHC's register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, a body accountable to Parliament.
The Reiki Council* advise Practitioners following the National Occupational Standards as agreed with Skills for Health**

*** The CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of health practitioners
All Reiki Practitioners, and courses, listed in the Reiki Register have been through a rigorous Reiki Council verification process and have been issued with a Reiki For Professional Practice Verification Certificate and are eligible to also be listed in the CNHC Register
